I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at ServiceNow
Interview
The process was very quick and well communicated. There were several rounds (altogether five), with the offer at the last round. I think this is pretty standard for tech, though it is a lot.
At one point, the recruiter had scheduled an interview, but didn't let me know. That was a bit frustrating, only because I think the hiring manager didn't know how to handle it and seemed very pressed for time. In the end, it was resolved and everyone apologized and i was able to interview the following day.

Question 1
Weirdly simple, but hard for someone new to the tech world to answer: What does ServiceNow do? As a writer, I don't think their website explains it well; it's all marketing/tech jargon. Do some googling to get a better outsider's point of view on the company and how they compares to competition. Also, try to familiarize yourself with their tech, because they do seem to put emphasis on hiring folks who already understand it. In the end, I got an offer and didn't understand it, but it was something they emphasized as a possible concern with hiring me.
Very unprofessional. Recruiters had no concern for the interviewee's time. Kept Postponing the interviews day after day. Not responsive to emails. Don't interview here if you want a smooth interviewing process.
Had the most appalling interview with their HR, who was completely condescending. Tried to nitpick on everything that they thought was a negative in my experience. Like they assumed negatives things off the bat repeatedly. Oh, you left this company, was it cause you were fired? No, I wasn't and I dont' know why you would assume that when it was obvious from my resume as well that wasn't the case. Oh, you didn't have this experience, that's a problem. You had my resume, you know I didn't because it wasn't on there. It felt like they were going through a list of why they thought I wasn't qualified. If that was the case, why did you even bother to interview me? Later on had a slightly better interview with the hiring manager, but this atmosphere was pervasive. It left such a foul feeling, that I'm never applying to any Servicenow jobs again. Reading the negative reviews on this website, it seems this place has a toxic work culture, and if my interview experience was at all representative of the work life here, I'm not surprised workers would feel that way.
