I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Shopify (New York, NY) in Mar 2022
Interview
The interview with the recruiter was only 20 minutes, he was late, he asked me basically no questions about myself.
Following that, I had a life story interview with the SAME PERSON, and then I get a decline?
The recruiter was a guy who was in theater and film his whole life and now is a recruiter so it was all pretty suspicious. Waste of time
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Shopify
Interview
Several meetings - first with manager, then a discussion of your "life story" with a recruiter, a couple panels with sales managers. Then a meeting with a recruiter to clarify questions and provide offer.

Question 1
Why should we hire you - essentially giving the opportunity to "sell yourself" in an open ended way
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Shopify in Oct 2021
Interview
The first interview is a phone interview. Whoever the person was, was in a loud coffee shop and I constantly kept asking them to repeat himself. He then tells me "okay what are we here today for". So I prepare for my interview but you don't? Red flag #1. We get to the end where I ask about the culture and the interviewer goes "Yeah sometimes we have to let people go..." So this is how you're going to "sell" me for the job? Lastly, they claim that they get so many candidates and are SO busy that if you are declined, they basically will ghost you. So they won't even send a "Sorry it didn't work out" message. You just won't hear anything from them. For a company that seems to be established, the candidate experience seems extremely distasteful. Do better.
