I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Shopify (Ottawa, ON) in Jun 2016
Interview
Was a fairly quick process from interview offer to first interview over Skype. Recruiter was friendly made the everything feel comfortable. One issue: they weren't able to answer a lot of my questions that I had about the position. It was a new role and they were fairly open about it being defined by the person they hired and figuring out the needs of the team as they go. I kind of pressed for more info but they just didn't have any.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Shopify (Toronto, ON) in May 2015
Interview
I applied online on the specific job page and was emailed shortly after to set up a phone interview. The phone interview was about 30 minutes long. I didn't make it past the phone interview stage, so I don't know how many more stages there were.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Talk through specific experience related to the role - wanted details on project management in particular.
Toronto. 4 interviews. All of them went well, and (my perception, anyway) is that I checked all the boxes they were looking for. The interview process let me meet some interesting people and get a good feel for the culture and how they do things. People seemed very cool and probably would have been good to work with had I gotten an offer.
The part that slightly angered me: After FOUR interviews, I had to follow up twice after being told I would be contacted with a Yes or No answer within a week. They ended up hiring internally, which is fine if that works best for your organization, but why would you waste everybody's time with FOUR interviews when you had a qualified internal candidate all along? I ended up getting a better offer elsewhere about 2 weeks later though, so a fortunate turn of events I suppose.

Question 1
Mostly about myself, interests, goals in the first interview; typical first interview fare. Second interview was about my experience with content marketing, tools I knew, analytics and metrics skills and experience, etc. Mostly related to the specific job; again, typical stuff
