Interview process is really messed up to the core. They want to sell you culture but the dishonesty and lack of transparency is astonishing. Their US employees will sabotage the canadians candidates. I have heard multiple reports of it. They will tell you that you are no good while in fact they have freezed hiring and resending offer in the background. You would think they will hide this by telling you that they are not moving forward but look up posts on blind on how they have rescinded offers of a lot of people of chose them over other companies and gave their time to go over stupid interview.

Interview
I was invited to the final interview stage and never heard anything back. I followed up several times and never got a reply. I guess they are implementing some sort of hiring freeze or changed priorities, which is fine. But it is pretty poor form to stop replying to a candidate in the application pipeline.

Programming call: simple coding exercise to demonstrate you can code (not leetcode)
Life Story Interview: a conversation-style interview asking about experiences, values, what you've learned and how you've gotten to your current position.

Shopify reached to me via LinkedIn.
We scheduled the introductory interview via the availability form.
Then we needed to rescheduled it by shopify request.
On the interview a very friendly guy has explained me how the hiring process works. It's mentioned here many times so I won't repeat.
I got the same schedule form and have chosen the dates.
And then the odd part started. The interview was canceled again and again and I needed to reschedule it every time.
5 days later last cancel came with excuse "shifted priorities to focus on more immediate initiatives" and this role is no longer an option.
