I applied online. I interviewed at Spectrum (Saint Louis, MO) in Oct 2020
Interview
During the pandemic, I was told to come and interview for a position as an HR manager. The person interviewing me did not wear a mask and neither did anyone in the office
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Spectrum (Charlotte, NC) in Dec 2020
Interview
Interviewer was verbatim on scripted behavior questions and was unfamiliar with the location where position was to be located. The role was in one area of HR, yet the HR recruiter kept apologizing for not being able to share anything about the role other than what was in the published description. Recruiter was engaging, but was not prepared to answer direct day to day operative questions. While I understand the protocols and processes, my Spidey sense from working in HR leaned towards this being a paperwork management interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1 - Walk me through your resume
2 - Describe for me a time when you felt you did a great job/bad job
3 - What are your weaknesses
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Spectrum (Charlotte, NC) in Nov 2019
Interview
Don’t waste your time here. They act like they have an urgent need to fill a position and then you never hear back after your interview. I had a phone interview and then 1:1 with the hiring manager. I was not impressed at all with the hiring mgr and even they seemed like they didn’t want to be there. This was a new role they were trying to fill to basically help the hiring mgr keep her own job because she had been reprimanded several times for attitude, being unapproachable as an HR professional and low productivity-all of which she told me about in the interview. Never received updates from the recruiter and had no idea I was no longer being considered for the role until I checked the online application status. They have extremely high turnover and part of it is probably due to the fact that the hiring process takes so long they lose out on top talent.
