I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Target (City of Industry, CA) in Apr 2014
Interview
I applied online Tuesday April 15th then called them myself on the 18th (I asked for a 'status' on my application) and they set up a phone interview for April 21st. After the phone interview they called me back on Friday to have me come in Tuesday April 29th for an in-person interview and I was given the 'conditional job offer'. I took the drug test that same day. Orientation was May 9th. The whole process -from the day I applied to the day I was hired- took exactly 14 days. Both interviews were very casual, the phone interview was scarier than the in-person interview (coming from someone who had never been interviewed before). The interviewers didn't ask for any paperwork (resume, references, copies of official documents etc).

Question 1
All basic questions you can find examples of online, nothing that would catch you off guard.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Target in May 2014
Interview
Received a call for an interview a few days after applying. Went in for the interview and the interviewer asked me basic questions about availability, why I want to work at target, what my strength and weakness were. Then after that he asked me three questions (what would you do if.... Name a time when..) and told me to go wait in the break room for a second interview. 10 minutes later the interviewer came in and told me that the next person to interview me was "too busy with other interviews" and if I got a call back within the week, if not, then yeah..
