I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ulta Beauty in Sep 2015
Interview
A new Ulta was going to open in a mall near me that was under renovations. This is the first Ulta in my area so I decided to apply. I applied for the temporary position because I didn't have a year of retail experience which they prefer. The temporary position requires really no experience; just a minimum age of 18 and a diploma. I applied online and a few weeks later (closer to the time of opening) I got a call to schedule an interview. I was told to meet at a Starbucks near the mall that was under construction, and he asked if I knew the duties of the job and if I was available during a certain time frame. I was offered the job on the spot. I made sure I wore a nice business casual outfit, was 10 minutes early, and brought my resume (turns out it wasn't needed) I was told I would be working the week before opening to help set up with the possibility of getting a seasonal position when the store opens
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ulta Beauty (Melbourne, FL) in Mar 2011
Interview
store manager interview, then phone interview with Benefit Cosmetics, sometimes Benefit rep comes into ulta store to do a face to face interview instead, followed by a demo where you have to wax eyebrows. I didn't pass the first time even though I have a cosmetology license, but the salon manager had me practice with a few models and I was able to do a demo again and passed.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Ulta Beauty (Big Flats, NY) in Aug 2015
Interview
Process took a week. Applied online, received a call the next day and scheduled an interview for the next week. I interviewed on a tuesday and was offered the job the next day. Very easy and relaxed.
