I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Visa Inc. (Fremont, CA) in Jan 2019
Interview
I had applied for a Product Manager position. This position was raised to a Director position and I was told that there was interest in my background. The job description remained the same and when I asked why the position changed, they said it is essentially the product manager role still, no clear reasons were given to me. I went through a phone screening and then got invited for an on-site. I was supposed to meet with four interviewers but I was told that one interviewer was busy and could not be present. Two other interviewers only explained about the team and their potential new projects but did not ask me any questions as such. One interviewer asked me just a couple questions. Then I was told that they would like to invite me to another onsite which would be scheduled for the following week.
I never heard about that second onsite. The recruiter had absolutely no clue of what was going on, neither was the recruiter responsive from the beginning. They hadn’t even scoped the responsibilities for this role and kept saying there’s a lot that is TBD for this role. Why even call me onsite in that case? I had applied for other product manager position in other teams as well and they took 5-6 weeks to even look at the application.
