Unprofessional and Inexperienced Managers
Pros
if you're in the US you will get an okay salary one of the few studios that are strictly remote project is fun to play. no idea how it might perform or how long it will live for after release
Cons
they ask you to use your personal computer they offer really poor benefits. theyre idea of an improved PTO policy is you not getting to enjoy most national holidays unless you eat into your PTO days european counterparts are paid unfairly compared to US some department managers are terribly unprofessional, hypocritical and unethical they unexpectedly will let go of employees despite positive performance and feedback pointless performance review system there is an unrealistic expectation being set by the top that is leading to an excessive amount of crunch. Ian's family is heavily involved in the business decisions because his father is a cofounder of Intuit. billion dollar family so maybe that is a positive to some. they will be there in meetings, at the annual offsite, and seem to have a large influence with day to day operations. conflict of interest? no annual raises or bonuses. the first time they gave company raises was this year and it was not much. lots of very visible favoritism. especially in the design department a very male-heavy studio. lack of diversity in management.
