Pros

Although more than 10 years old, Adyen still has a start-up feel to it. This is evident in all the typical tech start-up perks such as a barista and great lunches, but most importantly it is evident in the great culture. There is a no nonsense attitude where everyone keeps working for the good of the company instead of themselves and people remain approachable. This is in great part a result of the time and attention spent by senior management on preserving this atmosphere even though the company grew. My colleagues are fun to work with and really smart, which for me is perfect. I feel like there is a true meritocracy at Adyen.

Cons

Beware that Adyen is a high pace company that requires you to be able to adapt quickly. It also assumes all employees are self reliant. If you prefer a lot of guidance or a set career path you probably are not a good fit. You have to be willing to create your own opportunities.

Pros

Most empathetic, intelligent and passionate people you will ever work with. I am pushed to be the best version of myself both professionally and personally every day. No hierarchy/bureaucracy - everybody is willing to pitch in and get their hands dirty You can make what you will with your role. Opportunity to work with the most innovative and interesting companies of our time Incredible healthcare plans 3+ Trips to Amsterdam headquarters of year Truly global company with enormous potential Kind, thoughtful leaders who care about your happiness and professional development

Cons

- This would be a hard environment if you really enjoy structure and being told how to perform/what to do. I personally thrive in it. - Many critical roles are based out of Amsterdam ( headquarters), but that's slowly shifting.
