I have worked with Adyen for quite a long time, ive seen a lot of talent left this company and that is really sad.
1.No career growth or whosoever. If you just focus on what your responsibility of your role, you will not succeed in Adyen, you gotta play around with politic, you gotta know how to 'display' yourself and win the limelight in the publicity, which is way much more important than what you truly achieved and what you actually have done. As long as you can be a talker, what you have actually done in role function does not matter at all. Do not expect you will get promoted if you have delivery good working result in couple of years.
2. Terrible management. You will see there are a lot of no managerial experiment people being your team lead and show you no guidance or help. There is micro-management within the team, and is completely untrue when they said 'you can take the full ownership'. They get freak out if they lose visibility .the team lead is arrogant and takes zero feedback from you.They will use 'formula' that they cant even straight up to devalue your performance, which is quite ridiculous. it is quite toxic because that discourages you a lot.
3. Low pay, huge disparity and almost zero salary raise. the compensation is lower than the industry level and the disparity within the same team is colossal. Do not expect to have salary raise. most likely you are underpaid
