Adyen has many benefits for part-time employees and also employs students. Internationals are welcome

Cons

Poor communication and a lot of gatekeeping from the side of the HR and teamleads. Very little transparency

Pros

Adyen is one of the greatest companies I ever worked in. That is true. At least for me. I enjoy conversation with the developers, most people seem outgoing and natural. The work-life balance is also nice. You can manage your time in development part of the company pretty nicely. I do not know how it is on a business side. On People side, I believe major improvements could be made.

Cons

Lately the landscape in the company started to change. I have been with the company for quite some years and I see how some teams in the company drive away from company's values, which is, of course, sad to see. However, as I said above I am happy to see that in our tech side we still cling to our values and our opinions count. However, I can see that on the people side lately some stuff has been going on. They seem to not find their place. The management decisions that are taken there are far from truth. Some questions arise about newly appointed managers - "How they got there and why?" I talk to my friends there and lately I hear only comments of disappointment and complaints about crawling burnout from the amount of work. A lot is said about losing the values of the company within the team while still promoting the Formula for people they work with. Some great people that I know who have been in the company and HR/Recruitment positions there start to doubt their future in the company with sorrow. I would recommend to re-assess how we as a company do people business. Because consequences can be dire if the hiring/people management power start to think of leaving because management takes unclear decisions, has unclear expectations, communicate topics too late and disregard the successes of their colleagues
