Pros

Fun team building events.

Cons

The cons are endless. You will be overworked and underpaid. You don't get to choose which recruiting team you're on. You're pressured to stay past normal hours and work often on weekends. You don't make a lot of money if you're not a top performer. Also, people are very cliquey. This might be because of how young "management" is. Lastly, they don't have internal HR. So, don't expect company structure if you decide to accept a job with them.

Pros

Entry level recruiting experience that you can take to other companies. Long lasting friendships.

Cons

If you notice all the reviews on here are from the past couple of months because they are trying to mass hire, since a ton of recruiters and managers recently left the company due a large change in culture and the ability to make much more money outside of Aerotek. Culture has really shifted over the past 2 years. If you want a life outside of work this is not the company for you! This job is more for the single guy or girl right out of college. If you are married this job is extremely difficult to balance. Everyone is in the age group of 23-27. You only have two routes you can go as far as career paths. The director will try to block you from pursuing other roles outside of Sales or Account Recruiting Manager (ARM). Not all sales managers are good leaders. Just because you are good at selling that does not make you fit to lead a team. Make sure that you understand the compensation plan. Recruiters really don't make that much on commission, since its only 4% ONLY AFTER A CERTAIN THRESHOLD. Will take you a little over a year to hit that point if you are a commercial recruiter. In all honesty you will never really make that much money as a recruiter. Its kinda like a pyramid scheme where you can never make more money than the guy above you. the logo is literally a pyramid.... lol And the benefits suck, they are just really expensive. high deductible and once you meet the deductible they only cover 80%. They generalize how much money you can make, but really depends on what division you are in. If you recruit more technical skill sets you will grow and hit your performance metrics, but your not making that much money. But, if you get stuck recruiting APS or Commercial where the type of candidates are lower skilled, it will be very difficult to make a lot of money here. It really comes down to what you are recruiting. When your contractors get laid off or go direct with your clients your pay checks will reflect that.

Pros

-No limit to hours, work overtime while you're still an hourly wage employee until you get promoted to salary -Excellent resume builder -After working here employers that know Aerotek will now you can work your butt off.

Cons

-The expectation of hours is more than what they advertise. If you aren't showing up early and leaving late you won't meet the minimum expectation. -Training is on your own. For a company that preaches leadership and development your first three weeks will be between you and your computer doing learning modules. Everyone else is so busy it's difficult to ask questions you may need. Often times I'd voice this concern and my peers would say "it's ok we've all had to do this before" but when it's time to ask questions or do a peer exercise for training they'll say they're busy to ask someone else. -You can get jobs as an entry level recruiter at other recruitment agencies to gain the same experience with 20 hours less a week and relatively the same wage.
