Pros

Aerotek will do its best to form a from that functions like a family. If you have a strong team or "triangle" there is virtually unlimited potential to make money. Promotions are based on your numbers and the more successful you are the better you will do with the company. Time off is typically not a problem but be careful asking for it. It is nice to be able to expense your lunches with clients and your first week you will be taken out to lunch virtually everyday. My experience was that my Account Manager was a very loyal man and under the same pressures that I was under accept more so they will do everything they can keep you going.

Cons

The company expects a great deal out of the recruiters. You will be expected to complete your work and stay on top of the schedule which can mean an incredible amount of hours each week. The problem is, this can take a major toll on your life and normal schedule. The job is incredibly stressful and incredibly unforgiving. The attrition rate amounts to about 1 person either quitting or being fired every other week by the averages in our office. I also had some problems with the training program. You are told that you are paid overtime however you will never see it. Your manager will simply tell you that they can only pay you for 40 hrs a week. You will then be expected to work upwards of 60. It is very frustrating. The office is a bit unprofessional as well. While you are trying to secure other people with employment you will have co-workers screaming across the office while you are on the phone.

Pros

- MONEY - I doubled my income in a year, tripled in 2 years (anyone else at Booz do that?) - EXPERIENCE - No one I know my age has driven multi-million dollar deals, managed a growing business, and developed several recruiters to do the same - ENTREPRENURIAL SPIRIT - I build my own business, with a multi-billion dollar, #1 in the business, huge company behind me - FUN - Some of my best friends are with this company, it brings out the best in everyone and the worst in the babies posting on this site. Best part is - these entitled children who whine and moan and don't know the first thing about starting a career and WORKING HARD for it - actually allow me and the other workers to advance quickly, so I guess, keep whining and quitting!

Cons

- BENEFITS - Not great, deductable on health is high - HOURS - Every hour you work puts $$ in your own pocket, go play your kickball league while I bank and set up a career for myself, thanks

Pros

This allows you your first steps into a professional career. At Aerotek you will learn important work habbits, time management skills, deal negotiating and cold calling techniques.

Cons

The management staff is young, inexperienced, misguided, underskilled, mislead bunch of clowns. You will need to dedicate at least 55+ hours weekly, without any vacation time for the first 2 years you work there. Also expect brutal office politics, to put it bluntly know who's ass to kiss and people are alway watching. When you need to meet a high valued recruit, the office looks very under budget and cheap.
