Pros

It beats flipping burgers. It can be a fun environment since you're surrounded by 20 year olds.

Cons

Working 50+ hours a week. Really poor commission structure - They utilize 'spread' where you don't make a % of what you place, but rather a % of the %. It's garbage and a real way of working you over the coals. No one ever stays that long. It's full of 20 year olds who can't find anything else that's better. Take this job if you want something to tack on to your resume to build experience. I saw 5 or 6 people leave in the time I worked for Aerotek, then a mass layoff that they sprung on us at the last minute.

Pros

Aerotek is a great place to work and is a great place for a young professional to start a promising career. The environment is a lot of fun and professional development is something that everyone is passionate about. There aren't many companies I know of where people in their 20's have the ability to make nearly over $100k/year! Your success is truly based on how much you put into it, and promotions are not based on seniority - but on performance. Management makes personal investments in each of their employee's futures. I would recommend Aerotek as a great place to work to any of my friends and family.

Cons

The hours are sometime very long and can take much away from your personal life. The base pay isn't that great, but it is still better than other companies in the industry.

Pros

Professional development and the potential for job satisfaction as well as compensation are some the best reasons to work for Aerotek.

Cons

During this economic downturn I'm sure there are a lot of companies that are laying off some or all of their employees. Aerotek is not immune to this. In fact, we are hit by the economic downfall everytime a client company of ours lays of their employees as well. I would say that job security, or lack there of is one of the biggest downsides of working for Aerotek.
