Pros

the people you work with are very cool, but that is the only good thing about Aerotek.

Cons

EVERYTHING. Pay is awful, you start at $14/hr no $50K, you realistically wont get on the $50K salary until 4-6 months in. All you are is a number to them, if you don t him your numbers you're fired and they will hire someone else. You work 730am-6pm M-F there is zero work life balance. The benefits are garbage and expensive. Everything about this place is toxic. Leadership is rude and unprofessional, they are also selfish and only care about their bottom line.

Pros

-This is a great opportunity to get into the recruiting industry. You gain a lot of full cycle skills and knowledge. -Great gateway to better opportunities later on.

Cons

-cutthroat expectations (unrealistic) - you recruit for cheap paying positions -management and director expect you to suck up to them, if you dont, you’re not apart of the cool kids club. This place is like a sorority/ fraternity -they dont value hard work -hard work to them is to suck up and stay late hours - force to come in on weekends - they dont value work /life balance -they lie as to why people quit (make up stories: informed the office that someone was fired because “the persons numbers werent there”) - lots of turnover with management and recruiters - threaten to fire you to scare you into hitting unrealistic deadlines - even if you work hard and hit your goals/ numbers they expect you stay late -If you like being stressed and not enjoying life this is it -The tension and environment is toxic -talk you down when you have an opinion or are not happy -They belittle you in front of co workers and peers - they dont honor two week notices ( they fire people on the spot) -“Im not here to make friends” - Director The list can continue but to make things short Dont work here unless you dont mind, late hours/ weekends, lots of stress, you can suck up to people and play the politics, dont mind dealing with selfish management and director.

DON'T DO IT

Pros

Learned a lot and was able to carry some of those qualities with me to my new job. Gave me some work ethic

Cons

If you want to work 50+ hour a weeks with basically no reward then this is the place for you. They are all about culture when in reality its just a big mosh pit of emotions and gossip. You have 20 something years olds managing 20 something year olds. It just doesn't work well. They push and push sales but when the sales people aren't doing well they are mad at the recruiters for not getting jobs filled when in reality there aren't realistic jobs to fill. There is a lot of favoritism in this field. Yes it is a performance based job but it was much more than that. If you weren't drinking the kool-aid you weren't really knowledge no matter how well you were doing. Forget it if you aren't doing well. You will be out of there in 60-90 days if you aren't performing. They also try and grab you with the happy hours and work events they put on every couple of weeks. When in reality some of us have families and things after work we like to do. We spend 75% of lives at work and then you are looked down on if you don't want to go out and get to know your coworkers on a different level. ITS INSANE! DON'T DO IT! I was more stressed and carried work related stuff home that it put a strain on my relationships. I then wasn't home long enough to fix things. I am also only 25 years old. I shouldn't be unhappy in a work environment at 25 years old. Don't do it unless you want to be a sales person/work 50+ hours a week and not really rewarded for your work.
