Too focused on making cuts and making unsustainable restructuring

Pros

The culture and the people are the best thing about this company. When in a good position the work can be challenging and engaging.

Cons

Restructuring every few years. Essentially lying to all employees about 'streamlining' and 'delayering' to become more customer focus when whole technical support teams are made redundant and services get moved to different parts around the globe!

Quality Control Technicians/Production Workers

Safety is put first and foremost so much so that they shut down production for one day out of the year to teach and train their employees about various aspects of safety in and outside of the workplace.

Cons

They company tends to make their production workers work a lot of overtime. The problem is that when production achieves a goal, even if it's is just barely, the company expects even better production numbers the following year without investing in the proper equipment needed to reach the new goal. Management doesn't care to work with their production employees either in that they don't really listen. They hold meetings, but those are really just for show. The amount of time the prduction wokers and quality control are expected to put into the place is ridiculous at around 13-14 hours a day between working a fairly regular overtime shift and doing additional training on top of that.
