Pros

Nice colleagues who support each other and help each other through the stress created by management. You can make life long friendships.

Cons

Toxic management, no regard for employees. Many employees taking stress leave or leaving to due unnecessary stress placed on them by management.

Horrible place

Pros

Salary is good and they offer a pension plan.

Cons

If you work in claims it is a horrible place to work. Officers are bullied and discriminated every day. The pressure to achieve unreasonable targets is enormous (you feel bad going to the loo because you will waste this precious time not processing claims). People are treated differently depending on where they are from. Team leaders and management are not trained to do their job. They are team leaders because they are Irish. Any promotions or career developments only are given to Irish people. If you are not willing to be an apple-polisher you are not going anywhere in there. Canteen is extremely expensive and you have no other option around. Kitchens on the floors are not well equipped, no microwaves, no toaster, no kettles and barely any cutlery are available. These were requested several time but they always use the same lame excuse: Fire hazards (it's odd that many other companies do not see them as fire hazard) Surveys are completely ignored and no action is taken to solve any issues and staff requests. Communication is non existing between departments. Repetitive job, and misleading interview (you are told about so many opportunities to grow and develop your skills and they disappear once you are there).

Pros

Nice colleagues, job is easy and repetitive (I like this kind of jobs/ tasks)

Cons

Too much gossip The positive reviews are all written is excellent English and we know what that means If you become inconvenient for the company they give you on purpose difficult tasks so you can't reach your target. As soon as you don't reach your target they will bully you out of the company Many (not all but many) promotions are ridiculous. You just need to take a look at the Facebook profiles of our managers and team leads and you understand that they mostly promote their friends (at least you can change your fb profiles to private mode so we won't be able to see your pictures and posts) An open-minded colleague even told us that she had sexual intercourse with our Team Lead the day of last year's Christmas party. Two months later she got promoted. Most town halls are just about the profit of the company. Since I'm in the company we never had a single town hall where we were asked how to improve the working environment because the company obviously doesn't care about their employees HR replied to a review (the review is called "Help!") from the 22nd of August where they explained that they are currently busy but will reply as soon as possible. Two months later - still no reply. This is how much HR cares about their employees.

Hello, and thanks for your review. We're glad to hear you like your job and the colleagues you work with. As stated many times below, bullying is not tolerated and there are official ways in which you can bring this kind of behavior to the attention of HR. If you have a grievance, you are encouraged to bring this to the attention of your HR Business Partner. In relation to the gossip you mention, what you see on social media is not always real life, and people's online profiles sometimes do not tell the full or true story. This is also true with regards to promotions where there appears to be a lot of hearsay, and posting online about what a colleague said or did only adds to the 'gossip' you list as a con above. Town Hall meetings address company performance as this is an important indicator of how the company is doing and how secure we all are in our jobs. Improving the mechanics of how our company works is part of the AES survey and follow up actions that are taken. We hope you enjoyed the Town Hall on the 24th October where some of these items were discussed. Regarding responses to reviews on this site, HR is a busy function, we mainly focus on the day to day tasks that keep our company moving. If responses are delayed it is because we are working on improving our employees' experiences. Kind regards, Human Resources
