Pros

You have the chance to be miserable at work in a fully refurbished A-grade building with amazing views across the CBD and it's also 75m from Central Station

Cons

1. Local management has serious accountability issues. Even when the work/issue clearly is in their remit, no one is willing to own deliverables, let alone issues that arise. This starts at the leader level, and cascades down (monkey see, monkey do). 2. Global management are too far-removed from the AU operation, data and information is fed to them with plenty of sugar-coating. 3. Australian business will continue to exist, thanks to the deep pockets of its global parent (Allianz) keeping the business propped up. Global seem to be happy to fund for projects that are nothing but bandaid solutions, delivered by an army of disengaged, under-performing, inefficient project professionals. 3. This is actually the first organisation that I have ever worked for that has departments with fancy names that don't really add value, e.g.: * Operational Excellence - there is certainly no excellence here * Organisation Management - this department oversees project delivery and as above, nothing to be proud about * Market Management - the Market hates us and that includes customers and partners, not to mention regulators (Tip: check out the ProductReview.com.au as well as the ASIC websites). 4. Above-average manager salaries means they are afraid to admit when they're wrong. Mistakes are either covered up, or passed down to the team, or they create distractions ("Look, over here, instead. Look how busy I am with work now I also have to support an underperforming employee). 5. Leaders hide behind made-up excuses to sit around and do nothing, even when some employees have explicitly asked for support in navigating the toxic culture, or challenging political projects. 6. Office banter is orchestrated drama stories of the long hours worked, having to support junior staff, fake smiles and positivity. 7. Staff resorting to sleeping pills, alcohol and smoking to get by. Recent health issues in its workforce include chronic migraine, hypertension problems and even cancer. 8. Most folks who are still working there are either: * No longer employable in the open, fair job market (since they've been withering their skill away) * Unable to find an easier, cruisier job out there which will pays their current salary * Those who have no self-confidence (after years of doing non-value add work) * Have deep roots and close allies hence super comfortable to stay as long as they can keep faking they know what they're doing in their roles.

Pros

Nothing I can think of

Cons

-bad management - terrible payment .. only 25k per annum. Most companies provide 30-35k for customer service - if you only cover one language... - understaffed - terribly overloaded work (they expect you to do emails and calls at the same time and to work not olny in your language but also in at least one another language - if you are not native English speaker. Plus , there is no extra language bonus if you cover 2 languages . Beside this you have to take every calls from any language since the people from the respective laguange team are busy taking English calls and again other language calls. If the english speaking team would be able to cover all their own calls , we would be fine. This results from bad management and understaffed teams. And yes, as the previous review already mentioned , the English agents do not get the same pressur as we do which brings us to that chaos and miserable atmosphere between native speaker and non natives. I do like Irish people but this company unfortunately does not have a culture in this regards - hence : they do not support inclusion, no wellness, nor work live balance. It is indeed the worst place I have worked for so far and I am very happy that I do no longer work for Allianz care in Dublin. - no work live balance due to last minute roster and terribly organised shifts. - payroll forget to pay you - hr does their job only half way and takes your opinion / complaints but do not do anything about it ...and that for years - one person who worked for allinaz care in dublin , for a long time , had to leave as he did not get time off to visit his very sick mother. He was a very kind , hardworking and loyal person put they simply did not care about his circumstances. Additionally, he even did not get a goodbye speech from the team leader so that everybody could wish him all the best. As I asked him , he said he wished they gave him the chance to say bye but according to his team leader, she did not want to make it public. This is with far the worst thing that I had to witness - ever.

Pros

Nice colleagues... Too nice for this company

Cons

It is the worst place I have ever worked for. It is disgraceful how they treat their employees. They DO NOT recognise hard work, over hours or whatsoever. If you work hard, they expect you to work even harder. I have seen people who has been treated very badly in return for loyalty and hard work. They do not give a damn. I would give -0 stars if I could with good reasons. It is literally modern slavery. Further more I would suggest not to work on public holidays or over hours since they "forget" to pay... everytime. They did not pay my remaining holidays neither the days I was working on public holidays as i left the company. They did not provide me a pay slip for the last month either ignored my messages regards the missing payments. You have to work for payroll as they clearly do not know how to do their job. It's just ridiculous.
