A great company

Pros

Great work/life balance, company culture and benefits. Projects are usually short (a few months) and you get the chance to work on different technologies and platforms related to mobile apps. Great work environment with lots of smart people.

Cons

It could be difficult to grow inside the company, especially for employees often on staff augmentation projects. Currently, no upper level engineering positions (like "Principal Engineer" or "Software Architect") or engineering managerial roles (like "Director of Engineering" or "VP of Engineering") are available. Developers on staff augmentation projects for extended periods can feel disconnected from the rest of the company.

Pros

ArcTouch has a really laid back atmosphere, everyone is friendly with each other. Working nights or weekends is rare and the projects are fun and interesting. Management is very flexible with advanced notice of scheduling needs. The new unlimited PTO policy is great.

Cons

Schedules can change quickly depending on client needs and internal staffing. Employees on long-term staff augmentation projects can feel isolated from the rest of the company.

Truly a great place to work

Pros

As you've probably read in other reviews, ArcTouch has a great company culture. Along with the jeans wearing, Sonos listening environment, ArcTouch has a lot of cool perks. We get lunch catered on Tuesdays (occasionally replaced by chair massages), have thirsty Thursday and WFH Friday's, every Friday. The people at this company are very easy to work with, everyone is truly on the same team. Along with great perks the management team has a sincere approach to helping employees build a career and grow within ArcTouch.

Cons

The office location is far for those commuting on Bart and parking is expensive in nearby lots.
