      Senior management consists of buddies who have been around a long time together. Hard to break in. Excellent corporate policies and employee motivational literature on paper. However, senior management pay lip service to openness, discussion and voicing your views and come down heavily and secretively on you if your style / views differ with them. Decisions are taken at snail's pace compared to other well known public companies. However, current management appears comfortable with that. It may also be a feature of the risk averse insurance industry.
