Pros

Paid while on the bench. Paid overtime. Good starting place for someone with less then 2 years experience or limited skills.

Cons

Pay is low, at least 10% below market. No work life balance, can’t take vacation while on a project. Micromanaged from both Accenture and Avande. 401k match after 1 year (High Turnover). Limited to Microsoft technology.

Pros

great colleagues, on the surface great organisational values but not real as the way people are treated is horrendously stressful. Strong approach to delivery on client but if any slightly negative feedback and the delivery manager gets the blame despite catalogue of evidence of poor deal structure imposed on them.

Cons

nebulous performance feedback method. ZERO pipeline and secretive redundancies strategy. performance. Deal owners will throw you under the bus if it turns out their deal assumptions were mistaken or intentionally incorrect. HR does not care about your wellbeing, they will use whatever you say as a reason to get rid of you later. Hire and fire.

Pros

If you get good and rewarding client/project, you will enjoy your work here. Some client or Avanade's client management have work life balance, allowance, interesting technology used in project and good leadership. However still you can't stay in a client more than 2 years. Usually a project will end within months and after that you'll get transfer to another client and project.

Cons

Get assign to which client is never a choice. It assigned to you by the management and you'll have to follow, no choice. If you get bad client/project, you're life will be like hell. Some project force you to work like a slave, no work life balance, no allowance. 24/7 including holidays work is normal in these projects. Bosses want to meet client's impossible expectation and timeline and employees are the victim. You'll never get out from bad project because they cannot find replacement for you because nobody want to work is bad project. So , you'll stuck there forever. Resign is the only option left. All Avanade Malaysia projects are under Accenture. Avanade management have little to no control over the project because of Accenture's dominant and that's what making the employee suffer.
