      Lousy culture, management only think well of foreigners & NUS/NTU young graduates. Too many office politics. Middle management dominated mostly by Filipinos and foreigners that some departments are becoming mango plantations. Especially APASC

      Pros

      Excellent training and development. I gained leadership and coaching training (about 8 full days in all over a 6 month period). Also, training on negotiation which was a fantastic course (2 days), commercial awareness (1 day)and PRINCE2 certification as I was managing projects.

      Cons

      Fairly political Who you know, regardless of your competence, can see you move up the ladder. Some play it well, whereby their deliverables are average in quality & have a negative impact on other areas of the business, BUT they are great as selling it to their supervisor regarding how great a job they did.

      Amazing Company, Amazing people, Amazing culture.

      BAT is an amazing company to work for, for a whole host of reasons! - It is by far my favorite career-move to date! . . . - Amazing culture - people are friendly, engaging, outgoing, and enjoy their work. - Amazing opportunity in terms of personal growth - offices all over the world, exciting new programmes / ventures / functions constantly arising! - Senior Management are carefully selected and excellent leaders / mentors almost all of the time - In terms of benefits - the company clearly has an interest in their employees wellbeing, and goes out of there way to look after people - The actual Office Locations are amazing in whatever city you visit! (especially the London Headquarters) - It is an exciting / engaging place to work, and despite being a tobacco company, is also one of the most caring, ethical and socially responsible companies that I have ever come across!

      Cons

      - It obviously has a small amount of social-stigma that the minority of people associate with a Tobacco company, however when educated on the amount of charitable / CSR work that we carry out, along with the fact that as an organisation we are leading the way in next-generation products and bringing to market alternative non-tobacco products to expand consumers choices (like being the first/only company to have actual government backing for our alternative non-tobacco products to be used in the medical profession) - people soon realise that many of the assumptions of what a company like ours is/does are quite innaccurate! . . .
