Pros

Interactive and fast paced environment comraderie between coworkers free merchandise cross brand discout- 30% at BBW and VS

Cons

advancement is in hands of store manager. they are the only one that can alert you of openings. Can be good and bad- my store is known for its high retention rate. My SM values that over a high advancement rate. Couple that with her hatred of training and that means I'm not going anywhere. full time and benefits are only for the Store manager and co manager. Not nice considering a sales leader works full time 7 mos out of ther year (Our Semi-Annual sales and Holiday season account for 7 mos out of the year) this is a great position while in school. Decent amout of money for the hours. Would not be sufficient to support myself if i wasnt living at home! standard sales associates work only 2-3 shifts MAX a week. expect to only work 12 hrs MAX

Pros

There's always something new to learn. Holidays are full of fun and excitement. Great products to play with and show to customers. The team is friendly and family oriented. Coaching is continuous so you will learn so much and grow so fast as long as that is your desire.

Cons

Customers who no matter what you try to do to make their day will end up being mad at you because they believe it really is your fault that you don't have the products on hand. Children who comes running through the store knocking everything down and you have to pick up or clean up after them. Most time you will be upset to find used products all over the store because customers don't know the difference between products with the "Try Me" stickers and the one without. They use which ever bottle they happen to pick up then put it back on the shelf and buy the one in the back.

Pros

easy job to get coworkers are nice(some are over the top)

Cons

I have never had a job that was so cut throat. I thought I was imagining things my first couple days. I wanted to keep my job for about a year as a sales associate, but as a student this job is too stressful. It is one of the most stressful jobs I have had. The management tells you to sell, sell, and sell. It is ridiculous. After all it is lotion and creams. How much do people need? I thought it would be a fun place to work, instead it turned out to be the opposite----stressful!
