Pros

Amazing culture. Everyone loves to work here and people value one another. It’s an environment based on fun and pride in the work. It really is an amazing and healthy environment to work in.

Cons

Unless you’re in a technical role, you won’t make enough to live. This company is in a high metro area where the recommended in come is $80K to live comfortably in a one bedroom apartment. Try living on half that and see how well that works.

Pros

You can tell Big Fish cares. While they're not perfect, they are trying to do the right things and will do their best to address problems. I appreciate the transparency from leadership and how they choose to overcommunicate rather than undercommincate. The People & Culture team, especially, really cares for their people and advocates for them. Remote work is great! Having half-days on Fridays has been a game changer. Their 12 free sessions for counseling/therapy also means a lot. The support for inclusion and the queer community is also great. I think you see a lot of comments here about layoffs, bad leadership, etc. This was during a time when Big Fish was going through a lot of change. It's left a bad taste in their mouth so everything is filtered negatively. For those who joined Big Fish post-pandemic and remotely, it's been wonderful.

Cons

The medical, dental, and vision benefits could be better, but I wouldn't say it's bad. Give Big Fish a year or two, and we'll start to see some really great change especially with the amazing new President.
