Poor management

Pros

Really passionate staff, who are all friendly and easy to talk with. Some of the products are the best in the business and they care about the fans.

Cons

Seems like a small company pretending to be big (even though they are big). Really poor HR policies (were there any?). Quite shambolic when it came to managing international operations, seems to be every territory for itself which leads to some unhealthy fiefdoms. Depends on the management for your territory and can I only say I had the worst boss in my entire career there and didn't appear to be any recourse for his actions.

Pros

Great atmosphere, less like co-workers and more like a family. Lots of helping each-other and trying to stick to the core values of the company. Good medical benefits.

Cons

The pay isn't good enough for the work you're expected to do as you're doing all of them (account support, tech support, in-game support). The management staff may become political depending on management style (does not apply to all managers)

Pros

- Mostly stable environment (in 8 years I have seen one Layoff) - social cred in your friend circle working for this company - decent environment (nerd bunker)

Cons

- promises made that aren't kept (like: Yes, you can move from CS to development) - constant implementation of more red tape and superfluous procedures for the sake of being "professional" - CS is treated like lower class employees
