Pros

Used to be a fantastic company that beleived in staff, understood that working hard and playing hard were necessary to have a successful company. Understood that sick time was not vacation time and so you had unlimited sick time. Then Ralph sold the companies soul after professing that "we went public once and would never do it again." BS

Cons

Ralph drove the company into the dirt. Every piece of the former company is gone as Ralph drove the ship into "industry standard" which used to be anathema to Booz Allen. Training is all but gone (online after hours..some perk!@!@!) The Firms contribution to your 401K was the last unique benefit left, and that sacred cow has now been sacrificed at the alter of Ralph to the Carlyle Gods. Get ready kiddies because with the new reorg...nasty changes are on the horizon...anybody for a spinoff?

Pros

Best reason used to be opportunity for growth, continous learning, worklife balance and respect... Unfortunately most of those reasons are no longer there.

Cons

Booz Allen became a shadow of its own great past - the company has been changing from good to bad to worse over the past two years. It's unfortunate to see such a demise...

Pros

-Flexible schedule depending on project and manager. -Good focus on corporate events and volunteering. -10% automatic employer 401K contribution. -Reasonable pay, but below competitors.

Cons

-No bonus for those below senior associates. -401K has a six to seven year vesting schedule. -Work can often turn into staff augmentation. -Can only advance beyond associate if you can sell business. -Main priority is selling business and not execution; literally no contract will be turned down, even if BAH does not have the staff to fill. -Level of competence varies drastically. But if you're military, you're in (because you bring your connection with you). If you know someone and are somewhat competent, you're in. -Senior leaders either don't know how to or forgot how to manage projects. -Little to no spirit of collaboration between division. Staff has varying levels of integrity (to put it gently). -Can't take significant others to Christmas parties.
