      Incredible benefits (medical, dental, life insurance, etc.); nice people; "the company that runs the government"; general training is good

      Cons

      pay; supervisorys--no mentoring or business development; everyone is out for themselves; training doesn't train for what is really needed by mid-levels

      Booz Allen Hamilton - great place to work IF on a good team

      Pros

      I luckily was hired on to a team in a growing market. Opportunities have been very good and I have a good line of communication with senior management. By doing my assigned project work and asking management for more responsibilities, I got promoted in my first year.

      Cons

      Like most of corporate America, Booz Allen is very politics heavy. There is a lot of gossiping that happens and drama that goes around in teams.

      Pros

      If you're looking for a place where you can punch the clock and earn your stripes on tenure, Booz Allen is not for you. If you're looking for a place where you can blaze your own path to success, you've found your place. Salaries are excellent, as are benefits and vacation packages. Emphasis on work/life balance.

      Cons

      50% of staff are located at client site, and one can start to feel disconnected from the rest of the organization when offsite. 401k plan, while excellent, takes 5 years to fully vest.
