Pros

- Good internal mobility. The overall culture is your manager will try and help you find a new project if you want to grow or do something different. - Good company if you're willing to take the initiative to grow your career. - Good work like balance in lower management levels. You won't be asked to work more than 40ish hours a week. - Good base benefits - Culture is professional and collaborative across the company. - Get to work on meaningful projects that support our country and government. - Company is very friendly to internal networking. If you are willing to reach out, you can find interesting projects.

Cons

- As you move up in management, you're expected to work "extra hours" on top of your regular 40 billable hours. Apparently management / writing proposals / etc is a "side task" on top of your billable. I've never seen another company that makes their leaders go do 40 hours of grunt work, then tells them to go do the management and winning new business in "their free / extra hours time". - Although they brand themselves as a "tech company", the leadership are not tech savvy. Lots of pitching AI hype, but no technical understanding of the pros, cons, and resources required. - Since the Trump administration took over, our contracting pipeline has gotten hammered and there have been layoffs. The company doesn't have as many resources to be "a cozy employer anymore". I will say, having worked at other companies that have had layoffs, Booz treated the people it laid off reasonably well given the circumstances. - The "politics and values" of the company are a chameleon... they quickly adjust to whoever is in the White House. We went from being a very progressive company in 2024 to a semi-MAGA company in 2025... our main value that over rides everything else is "we serve our clients". - The company policies about what you can do outside of your job are very restrictive, beyond what is required for a security clearance. Booz wants employees who go home, water their garden, only post pictures of that garden on social media, and watch football. Don't go to parties or post on social media about it. - Remote opportunities are drying up, due to the current government contracting environment. They do still exist if you find a project that supports remote work, but there are not as many of these anymore. - Company is overly bureaucratic. We hire former government bureaucratic, and they rebuild the government bureaucratic through our corporation. - They like to pretend they build and sell "products". They basically don't. Management (outside of a few corners) has no idea how to build a successful product. The company sells "billable contractor hours".

Pros

Many people are great to work with.

Cons

Some in leadership are extremely overwhelmed and that trickles down to lower level to pick up the slack.
