Pros

Considering the company: 1. Outstanding HR and support for employees (career development, networking 2. Great career support either with skills as well as personal development for leadership roles 3. Diversity and inclusion initiatives are trully visible and positive impact employees that are part of some diversity group (I wasn't, but saw these initiatives being well implemented and able to positively impact these groups) Considering the position: 1. Great exposure to senior management (both internal as external). 2. Very strong leadership (Project Leaders from BCG are outstanding leaders, with strong care with their team's performance and WLB) My personal experience I left BCG due to personal reasons (worked there for only 9 months, than moved for a early-hire position in a startup) in spite of not even being an employee anymore, nowadays I still have contact with former colleagues and managers. The company has a very strong relationship with their alumni. I still am everyday surprised with how BCG care about their former employees and try to keep good relation with us

Cons

Considering the company Honestly, I can't say anything bad about BCG. I saw relevant value being created for clients and their employees in all the projects that I've been part or be somehow involved (business proposals, etc). BCG has a strong care to meet the client's need. Considering the Role In consulting the final deliverable is a slide deck. Even though slidewritting and storytelling being super helpful skills for careers related with entrepreneurship, management, sales, etc, this makes the everyday work very demanding and repetitive. It is very often to have your slides not used in the final presentation, even it being client-ready and consistent with the history that should be told. (it strongly depends on how much experience the Associate has with consulting). Depending on your speed to catch what would be important on each project and for the client, it might take several hours to draw relevant analysis. It might be frustrating and take some months until being able to focus quicker on relevant analysis
