      Best Place I've Ever Worked (But Can and Will Get Even Better)

      Pros

      * We're a quickly growing but stable and responsible company. * The product has massive reach and impact. The challenges that come with that are both very interesting and great opportunities to get valuable experience not available most places. * Tons of opportunities to interact with fun coworkers (hobby clubs, IM sports, happy hours).

      Cons

      * Growing pains can be tough. We're a different company than we were years ago - better in most ways, but some things have not received the attention they need. We need to work together to ensure important, healthy changes continue to be made.

      Toxic leadership and silence about it is deafening

      There are smart and hard working people at Braze.It is fast paced and has interesting challenges

      Cons

      Leadership. For all of Braze and more specifically VP’s on the People team. Toxic culture. Poor and ineffective leadership by inexperienced and insecure types. Worse is the silence. Everyone knows who the problem leaders are but does nothing to change it. Engagement surveys and constant feedback put a spotlight on the specific VP but nothing changes. Most people stay in the culture of fear and micromanagement because the market is bad. We witness and whisper over the trend of mistreating the strong leaders and performers. The best way to survive is to stay quiet and fall in line with a certain way of working. Paranoia is rewarded

      The people are the biggest benefit of working at Braze. Everyone is very kind and all demonstrate a willingness to help. Genuine friendships are made and not just those that you see during work hours but also outside of work hours. The product is also top tier. One of the best on the markets

      Cons

      - A lot of what previously made this company a great place to work are being stripped away - latest is adding more fixed guardrails around their flexible PTO policy. - Little to zero career progression opportunities - Low pay compared to similar companies with little to no financial recognition for Success given the large amount of work they do. - Company offers no incentives to try and keep talent
