Pros
I've been here for nearly two years and so far my experience at Braze has been awesome. We have a really good group of smart/fun people and an awesome work culture (what more can you ask for!). As a company we've been growing like crazy so there is a lot of opportunity for career growth. Good perks and benefits like free lunch/snacks/drinks, 401k matching, tuition reimbursement, flexible time off, etc. Lots of new programs/initiatives like "Braze for All" and "Braze Cares" that get better and better as they mature, but to me just the fact that there is so much investment in improving the employee experience is a great sign. We also just heard that we're going to be moving to a much bigger and much nicer office really soon, which is exciting. Like any other place I've ever worked at there are always things that can be improved upon, but to me the most important things have always been that I enjoy the work I'm doing and the people I'm doing it with (and being paid for it), and for me Braze checks all the boxes. Unlike previous jobs, I've never worked at a place with so much momentum and so much potential, and being part of that story isn't too shabby.
Cons
We're starting to get a bit tight on space and conference rooms in New York (which I guess is a good problem to have), but again we're moving to a new office in the very near future so that's a temporary issue. Things do move quickly and I can see some people having an issue with that, but personally that's exactly the kind of place I'm looking for. I've worked at boring places before, and I'll take busy over bored any day.
