      Terrible Waste of Three Years

      Pros

      Big company, seems impressive to others, global brand, opportunity to relocate within the company easily, pro-environmental policies.

      Cons

      Huge workload. You have to answer to every broker as though they were your supervisor - not fun having 35 bosses at once who all want THEIR project done first. I was doing all the work of a position two or three promotions above me with no recognition or compensation. There was no supervision by the Operations Manager, who really didn't seem to do anything at all.

      Pros

      Relaxing and comfortable environment Upper management is great and always willing to help you-their doors are always open! Great reputation in the real estate field Excellent community services programs

      Cons

      Very low salaries and expectations Difficult to move within the firm A lot of corportate red tape to get anything done losing a lot of young talented people due to lack of career path and very low salaries.

      Pros

      If you are new as an accountant, you definitely will get your hands dirty in learning almost everything there is to know about putting together a financial report. From journal entries to funding requests to specific clients, it will allow you to grow as much as you want, depending on how much effort you put in.

      Cons

      As you need to put effort into your work at CBRE, it is also critical to find out who that effort needs to be viewed by. Political hierarchy is very apparent on every team in the Bloomington office, so work wisely.
