Business Outlook
Pros
It's good to work for an information-based company - it allows IT professionals to deliver the primary product of the company. In many industries IT is the expense - here IT provide the revenue to the company. There is some innovation occurring at CCC - but not enough.
Cons
There is too much in-fighting and a dearth of trust amongst the parties that lead the company. Poor behavior is often rewarded - financially and through promotion. Blind obedience is rewarding. The Peter Principle is alive and well in the Merchandise Mart.
