Pros

It's the global news leader and there is a fair amount of prestige that comes with the job and the title. At my level, mid-career with no staff to manage, I have a ton of freedom to do my job as well as work on projects I want to work on. This is NOT corporate culture - it is due to the fact that I have a great boss. Daily, I work with video, reporters, packages and information that regularly makes air on CNN, CNNI, Headline News and cnn.com - what could be more satisfying then that?

Cons

Schedule can be crazy! Work can be stressful but that's part of the fun, or likely one of the main reasons you work in TV anyway...no day is ever the same.
