Pros

- Money (competitive compensation + RRSP matching + benefits)

Cons

* Please see review titled "Competitive salary at the cost of terrible work/life balance and frustrating management" as it is incredibly accurate. - The entire company culture demonstrates a "do as I say, not as I do" attitude. - Management does not value workers. This has made several people feel severely undervalued and is most likely what is causing the extremely high turnover rate at this location. - Management hires personal friends and promotes them often without even posting the position. - Many departments gossip between each other and spread confidential information shared in confidence to managers or HR for scheduling purposes (i.e. people‘s personal/family situations). - They often have issues with payment. I worked for two months before receiving my first paycheque. My colleague was not paid her overtime for four months. I am currently still battling to receive my last weeks of pay after leaving the company. This is very frustrating. - HR is in Costa Rica. There is no "human" resources department on site. - This place has endless band-aid solutions. Instead of fixing an issue that will help everyone long-term, they simply come up with a last minute temporary solution that often makes things worse. This issue is mostly a continued problem because management does not consult with workers who know the issue inside and out. They simply make the most cost-effective decision. This, sadly, is most likely because it increases their end of year bonus. - Toxic work environment. Every man for themselves attitude. Playing politics with the right people will help you move up the ladder.

Pros

It is very global connected company with strong value and culture esp in doing right thing and people first. Recent year, company also start to focus more on customer and technology development .

Cons

Company is very US centric in decision making . As asian talent, company has less appetite to promote even in APAC region. An issue that top leadership talk a lot but failed to address in a decade.

Pros

As a whole Cargill has a global presence and is very well regarded for its agri trading business.

Cons

The culture is very British, in that people love to talk to act smart but they are poor at executing (see what is going on in the UK in terms of Brexit and the coronavirus and you will get a sense of what I am saying). That is why performance had been poor these past few years relative to other Cargill businesses. The above constitutes my opinion only, your experience may vary.
