Pros

-Benefits package -"Minnesota nice" environment -"Lifers" make the workplace feel familiar -Beautiful campuses -Perks like the wellness program, gym, convenient services at headquarters -Emphasis on development (tuition reimbursement, thorough development planning, etc.) -Promotes from within

Cons

-Salaries under market. -Conservative culture creates noninclusive environments. -Lacks forward thinking from a market, internal policies, and culture standpoint -Old boys club mentality -A lot of politicking -Businesses are silo'ed and independent. -Lack of transparency

Pros

Company is doing well, despite the poor economy due to their diversification. There could be lots of opportunities to move around the different divisions to perform different jobs and build a strong career, but it's hard to actually switch divisions. you get stuck in the one division and the career path is limited. International opportunities available, but hard to come by and often in locations you wouldn't want to work.

Cons

work/life balance is terrible. pretty much expected to work 50-60 hours per week, and often much more, including weekends. compensation is on par for the industry, but too low.
