The people you'll work with are great. As an editorial assistant I was in it deep and the in-it-together feeing kept us together.

Cons

Low pay, change in direction every 6 months, completely unstable.

There are no pros to working for Cengage.

Cons

The management team (senior) at Cengage do not have a clue as to what they are doing. I have worked for a number of companies, and I have never seen such a pathetic group of individuals!

Pros

People are great and seem to genuinely care about learning and education. Hours are pretty reasonable. Benefits are decent. Seems like there is some opportunity to be promoted from within.

Cons

Although people are dedicated to learning and education, its less clear they are having the kind of impact they think they are. Pretty poor coordination between product and technology side. Executive team talks a lot about their vision, but not sure it is actually a coherent strategy.
