Great organisation, flat structure leaves little advancement
Pros
-The degree of autonomy in my day-to-day projects. -The variety of work briefs. -Favourable chance of debate in many meetings. -Opportunities for travel. -Training in most recent years. -Ability to change process within my team. -Good humour and caring culture within my team. -First organisation I’ve worked with where all staff know the money/figures and future plans of the business. For a non-sales person this was hugely welcome.
Cons
There is an approach from *some* longer-serving sales-focussed leaders that process and campaign ideas cannot change 'because that's the way we've always done it'. This unwillingness is taught as a bad habit to new starters. It is more than frustration for a Comms team with decades of experience. I have no immediate answer for how the re-educate the business units —simply to keep chipping away. Refresher courses/CPD would have saved team time in the long run.
