Pros

By far the greatest pro was the work/life balance. I found it to be a valuable part of the office culture.

Cons

The pay is lower than average and the yearly "merit increases" don't even cover inflation. The publishing industry as a is going through a great time of change and it is a very uncertain time and the mood is very low.
