Once a great company to work for

Pros

Good work/life balance. Was once a great company to work for but has since changed. Reasonable goals for company is in the past.

Cons

Deteriorating benefits with higher employee payment responsibility. Company in bankruptcy. It's not what you know it's who you know. Different rules apply to different employees when trying to climb the ladder for success. Especially in sales and marketing. HR is only looking out for upper management - be leery of working for this company.

Pros

Good work/life balance. Products that have the potential to really make a difference in the world. Recognizes that the old business model needs to change. Lots of people who really care about the company and the mission.

Cons

Too much bureaucracy. Many long-term employees seem satisfied with the status quo. Recognition of the need to change the business model often doesn't extend to feeling the need to change the supporting business practices or how the work gets done.

Benefits are decent. The general staff are very hard working, talented and decent people.

Cons

Staff is overworked, underpaid and undervalued. Senior staff is very controlling, old school and derogatory towards anyone under them. They lack ethics, compassion and especially vision. Product line is confusing and inconsistent.
