A surprisingly agile organization for such a large company
Pros
I love the power that I have, the freedom that I have, and the fact that I know exactly what is expected of me. My success is purely based on my own performance. I work remotely, and am attached to the Boston office. My manager is super smart, and gives me the support that I need. Her manager is also very smart, helpful and approachable. And that manager's manager is smart, brutal, but that's what we need in that job.
Cons
Large company, but still agile enough. Benefits are good, but quite a high employee contribution for healthcare if you're like me, family of four. A lot of business travel, but all my travel I actually inflict on myself, based on my own business needs, so I can't complain really! Of the 5000 or so employees, I can only think of one person that I really disapprove of as far as being a great link in the chain. Hopefully he'll resign one day, or shape up, and then we'll be at 100%.
