      Lack of respect for lower level employees

      Pros

      The relationships within departments are good, and managers look out for their own. Vacation time is reasonable and benefits are comparable with other companies in the industry. Long range company plans seem innovative and interesting.

      Cons

      Unfortunately, the money doesn't,t seem to be forthcoming to fund the innovative plans. Also, the Physical environment is miserable and employees are asked to do more and more work as headcount shrinks and management refuses to hire to replace people. Management positions are opened up much more often than those for people who do the day to day work.

      Pros

      In general, people are friendly and easy to talk to. Management supports flexible working hours, and it is not difficult to get time off.

      Cons

      Unprofessional behavior is tolerated: yelling, swearing, and sarcastic emails are all commonplace. Projects are not planned well. Deadlines are unrealistic, and staffing levels are inadequate. Vendors are not managed well. As a result, employees are continually scrambling to work around the vendors' half-baked products and services.

      People are Great, Management Not So Much

      Pros

      Very much a "we are family" kind of feel between colleagues. Most people across departments are willing to help and contribute to the success of others. Benefits are good and autonomy is good & bad...good employees are free to do a great job & experiment with ideas but bad employees never seem to be dealt with...overall though a good working atmosphere.

      Cons

      Upper Management = nothing but the "posse." Not creative, nor very bright it seems. This trickles down several levels. Promotion of friends is rampant, no matter the qualifications, and job performance isn't really judged it seems.
