Pros

New management teams are focused on building a transparent, supportive, family-style work culture to foster success. I applaud the level of transparency among departments and the willingness to work together to achieve goals. Great personal and professional development opportunities. Company is good at recognizing talent, and promoting from within. Every position is considered a stepping stone to something better. If you want to take on more responsibility and stand out, all you have to do is ask. Company is not just money hungry, we really do care about improving the student experience and improving education around the world.

Cons

The company pays on average less than its competitors and salary increases are hard to get without providing a competitive offer, even when raises are well deserved. Several recent internal reorgs have created a feeling of insecurity towards job retention. You may find yourself with more responsibilities than you signed on for and lacking adequate compensation.

Since day one, I was warmly welcomed into the company. The opportunities for professional growth and career advancement seem plentiful. I left a competing company because the culture turned for the worst. The culture here is amazing. There is a ton of transparency and communication from our leadership team.

Cons

We have recently emerged from bankruptcy and I think some people are still feeling a little skittish about it.
