      The people at Cengage are the best part-- everyone cares about what they are working on and cares about you.

      Cons

      Projects are often paused after so much momentum and time are put into them, and sometimes outright canceled. It's hard to care about what you're working on long-term

      Pros

      Cengage Group is a true learning company. They embrace learning inside out. They have the best company culture I've ever experienced. This allows people to do their best work and serve educators and students around the world. This also attracts and retains great talent. I met people who had been at the company for 10, 20, and even 30 years!! Bravo to Cengage.

      Basic benefits. Pay is at or below industry standard.

      I enjoy the Employee Resource Groups, and the company has a genuinely good product.

      Cons

      The company has gone through a lot of change recently that was poorly handled and has had a major effect on morale. In the 2 years I have worked here, this is the second major restructuring. My responsibilities have more than tripled and I received $1 an hour raise. Pay is not competitive despite claims around salary transparency. The company does not prioritize promoting from within.
