      Hard working reps, good benefits, work/life balance

      Cons

      Lack of direction, inferior technology products, lack of vision, ego-driven new upper management, This company is a mitigated disaster, and with constant reorgs, they can never get anything to take hold. Turning it into Pearson Lite (because, let's face it, that's what they've just done) won't help anything. Taking the chainsaw to 200 reps and manager in one day (many of them successful and experienced) will come back and bite them. Monster-sized territories will not help defeat the competition. Many people who were let go during the Cengage Chainsaw Massacre of 2013 feel like they are the lucky ones. I can't say I disagree.

      Pros

      Remote for my team though this can vary between different business units. Benefits are good with 401k match and paid holidays.

      Cons

      Declining since investment from Apollo. For sales are quotas are unrealistic with even direct leadership agreeing. No help from marketing or plans to reach those quotas. Last year they increase quota and decreased our commission so literally told to do more for less. Communication is abhorrent between teams like finances, sales, customer experience etc. ELT doesn't really listen. Just gives you the appearance of listening but nothing is addressed or done. Compensation is not great compared to other organizations. Unrealistic expectations of work that can be done. Only so much room on someone's plate.
