      Location is good, but honestly would mark this place zero stars if I could.

      I actually left Centaur without another position to go as I just could not stand the toxicity of the company anymore. I can't speak for every part of the business but the department I worked in was dreadful; underpaid and overworked with bullying managers who set unrealistic targets and ignored concerns - I would echo previous reviews and say that corporate bullying was rife. Avoid like the plague; once you've worked somewhere that values it's employees and functions properly you'll know you're worth more than somewhere like Centaur.

      Team members in individual brand are great.

      Cons

      Being run into the ground by the management and management accountants who have little to no experience in the individual brands or markets so unable to add any real value apart from piling pressure (to the point of bullying) on you to hit unrealistic targets. Salaries are very low compared to other companies of the same stature and most people only stay for loyalty to their individual teams and brands rather than Centaur Media as a whole. If you want to work in Media go to EMAP, Closer Still, Incisive, Red Active or Haymarket. You will still probably have to put up with some of the same crap but you will probably be remunerated for it better and the offices are likely to be in much better condition.

      You can meet smart people and make friends with them; good office location

      Cons

      It matters who you're friends with, not how well you do your job. Salaries are low, below industry average, Bonus scheme is ridiculous, bonuses are just on paper and never materialise on the grounds that the market is not good and you should be thankful you have your job! Constant brainwashing about the Centaur spirit - in emails, CEO address and leaflets stuck on the walls and how great the company is, no one buys that and turnover is high
