Pros

The brand and marketing is exciting. If you are someone who is excited for free food and small perks, those are fun. The company has solid values and does a lot of good things with serving more sustainable food. Also with promoting restaurant employees from within which leads to many hourly employees being able to advance into management and earn a good living.

Cons

There is a lot of talk about diversity and inclusion but it feels like a boys club stuck in the past. Barely any positive culture at the office. No process for corporate employees to know how to grow and advance. Recent decisions made this even worse, for example suddenly announcing a mandatory return to the office with no regard for how this would impact employees lives or morale. All employees were required to get vaccinated and those who didn't were let go, but then months later that mandate was dropped, so those employees were let go for no reason? The (female) CPO was abruptly let go with no reason given and HR was moved under other departments. Most of these employees have never even met the chief officers we report to now - total joke.

Pros

When things run correctly, it can teach you many good skills that are useful in other jobs. Theres also tuition reimbursement but only for certain schools and certain career paths.

Cons

Very corporate but most people you work with will not be very professional Extremely fast paced Very high turnover rate so most shifts are understaffed and have been for months Getting any improvements done in the store is difficult as corporate is not very responsive Most employees who are still there are generally unhappy and the morale of the team as a whole is usually very low

Pros

super easy interview, i started 2 days later. i dont think they do background checks. no drug tests., lax dress code, fun-ish environment, sampling food, free meals every shift. continuing training to learn other positions was highly suggested and some lower management really pushed for people to go forth into new roles (in hindsight, was less about personal development & more about you becoming able to cover for the minimum 2 people who called out everyday) one of the more diverse places ive ever worked but not much effort was put into ensuring some crew members' differennces & identities were respected.

Cons

i dont think becoming a certified trainer comes with an automatic raise anymore.....kinda bs you trust me to teach other people this job but still think i'm only worth 11 bucks an hour loll management living out their high school mean girl fantasies lmao. pay kinda low. cringe culture of holier than thou 'elevated' chicken and corn lmaoooo. perpetuated by us marketing/selling the food as health food (its not) to attract a certain crowd. tips divided equally even when there's literal children on crew showing up high and incompetent. field leaders show up and demand tasks be done no matter how short staffed or busy we might be during peak hrs. expected to jump through hoops and act as butlers when the big shots come in lol.overall pretty whack not gonna lie
