Pros

One of the companies where many people want to work, Great knowledge sharing and education - you'll learn a lot about the industry. Has a good reputation overall..

Cons

Stay away from smb department! You'll be sold on all the awesome benefits of working at Criteo like bonus, equity, opportunity to advance, a lot of responsibility bla bla bla. The bonus minuscule to the point of being worthless as the targets will be set so high that you won't be able to achieve 100%.. The company is hiring a lot of middle managers and not promoting from within. Politics have started to creep in and take a major hold. Management is very self-centered only caring for their gross margins specifi. Every step taken is very tactical and the human aspect of the job is not even considered. Its all about numbers numbers and again numbers..you are as good as your last week.

Pros

Earlier in my time at Criteo, the culture was a true strength. Teams were collaborative, capable, and invested in delivering value to clients. There are still incredibly smart, hardworking people across the organization when they are given the resources needed to deliver strong work.

Cons

Morale has declined significantly due to direction from upper leadership. Executive communications often feel scripted and disconnected from the realities teams are navigating. Employees are facing burnout, layoffs, no merit compensation growth, and increasing workloads without clear strategic guidance. Leadership layers have expanded in ways that create bottlenecks and slow decision making, while individual contributors lack clarity on priorities and long term direction. Internal mobility has been restricted, limiting opportunities for promotion or role movement at the same time compensation progression has been removed. Salary transparency was removed from internal and external role descriptions, which has impacted trust. Despite positive performance, cost discipline appears to disproportionately affect employees rather than being shared equitably across leadership levels. Additionally, a return to office policy has been implemented, including for employees originally hired as remote. This has added strain and uncertainty for teams.

Pros

For now, there are still highly capable professionals and a strong culture that you can work within and grow alongside. You can develop valuable, practical skills and benefit from supportive mentors and coaches who genuinely help you to thrive in your career.

Cons

Employees who have been with the company for more than two years will confirm that the company has taken a rather negative direction since the new CEO came on board. Criteo was once known for its openness to diversity and for actively encouraging employees to celebrate their individual backgrounds and ways of working. That spirit now feels diminished. It is understandable that the company is facing financial challenges — something many organisations are experiencing in the current climate. However, the decision to invest in new, high-spec offices while reducing headcount has been difficult to reconcile. Remaining employees are stretched thin, pay rises have been put on hold for the coming year, and at the same time, there is increased pressure to travel more frequently to these new offices. Given the stated financial constraints, prioritising such expenditure has not been well received. The company also used to place a strong emphasis on its carbon footprint. It is, therefore, disappointing to see regular international travel becoming commonplace, seemingly to reduce salary costs by relocating work to lower-cost countries.
