      some benefits - but prepare to sacrifice other things

      Pros

      Great learning community, its really a people company. Lacking on tools here and there, way behind market competitors - but they make up in flexibility & empowering people to work around tech shortfalls. Competitive benefits & skill is definitely rewarded.

      Cons

      Short-term thinking seems to be the go-to management choice for the past few years. Quick public communications on savings to come followed by drastic non-business-driven cuts on spending, some hitting employee capital/morale. Resource mismanagement on a grand scale locks in cash, stresses markets & dramatically puts us behind competitors in some regions. Expect to have to play politics. Challenging spirit is "welcomed" on paper, but when it comes to tough decisions you're either in it to play the game or you're out if you come with any moralist b/s.

      - Some great coworkers, with a real passion for healthy food - Good work-life balance

      Cons

      - Extremely inefficient and disorganised, with a complete lack of structure or processes - it's basically impossible to get anything done as a new-ish employee - Silo mentality taken to the extreme (colleagues in other divisions not answering emails, refusing to share information, etc.) with work getting duplicated as a result - Some middle managers are both incompetent and toxic, actively undermine their own team, and nothing seems to be done about it, which is demoralising - Inbred; many employees have been at Danone for decades and struggle to conceive that things can be done more efficiently and/or better - Hierarchical and bureaucratic
